Description

The Roland VAD516 is a five-piece V-Drums Acoustic Design electronic drum kit that combines full-depth wood shells with digital snare, hi-hat and ride pads. It is the top kit in Roland's V-Drums 5 Series, built around the V51 sound module and finished in Midnight Sparkle wraps.

The V51 shares the V71's sound engine and a multi-sampled library created with Drum Workshop (DW). It adds studio-grade EQ, compression, reverb and ambience. The 14-inch PD-14DSX digital snare detects strike position and cross-stick, and has a throw-off switch. The 14-inch VH-14D hi-hat and 18-inch CY-18DR ride also connect digitally. The 10, 12 and 14-inch toms use double-ply mesh heads, and the KD-20-MS is a full-size 20-inch kick.

For stage and studio, the V51 offers three digital pad inputs, four 1/4-inch analogue trigger inputs, two direct outputs and USB-C multi-channel audio and MIDI. Built-in wireless connects to Roland Cloud, and a six-month Ultimate membership is included. Kick pedal, snare stand, hi-hat stand and throne are sold separately.
