Product Specifications

Description

The Roland V31 is a compact drum sound module that runs the same engine and core sound library as Roland's flagship V71. It is the module at the heart of the V-Drums 3 Series. The onboard library was created in collaboration with Drum Workshop (DW). It offers more than 1,000 instruments across 200 kit slots, over 70 of them presets. Multi-layer playback with round-robin sample rotation keeps fast repeated strokes sounding natural.

A built-in wireless adapter lets you download V-Drums Instrument Expansions and Kit Packs straight to the module through the Roland Cloud Connect app. Six months of Roland Cloud Ultimate membership is included. Sample import lets you add your own WAV files, and Bluetooth lets you play along with music from your phone. For recording, the USB-C port sends up to 30 separate audio channels to your DAW.

Pads connect through a single multi-pin harness, with two extra trigger inputs for a second crash or fourth tom. A dedicated digital input takes a Roland digital snare, ride or hi-hat pad when you want to upgrade later. Coach mode with Phrase Trainer, Stroke Monitor and Blast Beast, plus Drum Pass with 100 Melodics lessons, covers your practice time.
