The Roland CY-16R-T is a 16-inch thin V-Cymbal with bow, bell and edge trigger zones that you can set up as a ride or a crash. It works with all Roland V-Drums modules and is used as a crash in Roland's VAD516 and VAD716 kits.
Roland gave the CY-16R-T a significantly thinner profile than earlier V-Cymbals. The result is an even response, better stick feel and a natural swinging motion, which makes swells and ride patterns easier to play. Grabbing the edge chokes the cymbal like an acoustic one.
In most V-Drums modules you can configure the sensors for ride use (bow and bell) or crash use (bow and edge). With both stereo cables connected to a module that supports three-way triggering, bow, bell and edge each get their own sound. The cymbal measures 407 mm across and weighs 1.3 kg, and the cymbal nut, felt washer and stopper are in the box.
