The Tama HC42WN is a double-braced straight cymbal stand from the Stage Master series, designed to hold a single cymbal — typically a ride or a straight-mounted crash — steady on stage or in the studio. It's the sensible mid-range spec: heavier and more stable than starter hardware, without the weight of a touring-grade Roadpro stand.
Three-tier tubing with a 25.4 mm base section keeps the stand rigid under a heavy ride, and double-braced legs give a wide, stable footprint. A fine-gear tilter lets you dial in a precise cymbal angle, and the patented Quick-Set Cymbal Mate mounts and removes a cymbal by pressing two buttons — useful when you're changing cymbals between songs or breaking down after a gig. Tama's reversible bottom sleeve extends the life of the nylon protector by letting you flip it once one side wears.
Height adjusts from 690 mm up to 1,420 mm, so it works for anything from a low ride position at a seated kit to an overhead crash on a taller rig. Reasonable pairing with the Iron Cobra 200 hardware pack or as an additional cymbal stand alongside heavier Roadpro or Star hardware.
