The EFNote 5 is an electronic drum kit from EFNote, built for drummers who want the proportions, feel and sound character of a real acoustic kit without the volume. Each drum uses 6-ply birch shells with double-layered mesh heads, so the snare, kick and toms feel like genuine shells under the stick rather than rubber pads bolted to a frame.
What sets the EFNote 5 apart is its sensing technology. Multi-sensor pads track strikes across the full head surface, removing the dead spots and hotspots common on cheaper e-kits, while the 360° free-swinging cymbals and Tru-Motion hi-hat respond naturally to open, closed and choked playing. The sound engine plays back full-stereo acoustic drum and cymbal samples rather than synthesised tones, giving a raw, believable sound through headphones or a PA.
The kit suits home drummers wanting late-night practice without disturbing the household, as well as gigging and recording drummers who need consistent, repeatable sound. It pairs well with EFNote's expansion packs for drummers who later want extra toms or cymbals.
