The Crescendo Music 20 is a set of reusable musician earplugs from Dynamic Ear Company with an average sound reduction of 20 dB. The acoustic mesh filter attenuates the whole frequency range more evenly than foam plugs, so drums, vocals and cymbals stay recognisable, just quieter.
That 20 dB reduction makes music at 105 dB safe to listen to for up to 8 hours, which covers most rehearsals, club nights and concerts. The membrane filter design leaves an open air passage to the ear. This keeps the ear ventilated and minimises the occlusion effect, the boomy low-frequency emphasis you hear in your own voice with fully sealed plugs.
