Description

The AKG K271 MKII is a closed-back over-ear studio headphone built for monitoring, mixing and live use. Its sealed ear cups block outside noise and keep signal from bleeding into nearby microphones. That makes it a common pick for drummers tracking to a click and for vocalists in the booth.

AKG fits 30 mm drivers with a 16 Hz to 28 kHz frequency range, 55 ohm impedance and 104 dB SPL/V sensitivity. That means the K271 MKII runs comfortably from both audio interfaces and dedicated headphone amps. An auto-mute switch in the self-adjusting headband cuts the audio the moment you take the headphones off. The cable is detachable via a 3-pin mini XLR connector; a 3 m straight cable and a 5 m coiled cable are both in the box.

You also get two sets of ear pads, leatherette and velour, plus a screw-on 6.3 mm adapter for the gold-plated 3.5 mm plug. At 240 g without the cable, the K271 MKII stays comfortable through long studio sessions.
